Dig Out those Old Photos! PDF Print E-mail

It’s time to call mom and ask her to dig through the old shoebox of Scouting photos. Why? So you can scan a few, and upload them to the new BSA Alumni Connection digital scrapbook (http://bsascrapbook.scouting.org).

Our alumni are our greatest untapped resource, and they could play an invaluable role in the next century of Scouting. We cannot afford to leave them in the past.

The scrapbook allows all registered alumni to upload their favorite Scouting photos and share stories. Then, scroll through the years to see what others have posted.

Alumni registration is open to everyone, from former Scouts to all those who feel their lives have been positively impacted by Scouting. Simply go to www.BSAalumni.org, and click “sign-up”. It’s that easy!

The BSA is investing in our past to impact our future. The primary goal of our alumni outreach efforts to inspire the people whose lives have been shaped by Scouting to stay involved and help us strengthen our organization for the next generation of Scouts. Tools like this new scrapbook help us do that by providing alumni with a way to feel increasingly connected with Scouting, and each other.

For more information about the BSA Alumni Connection program, check out our complete toolkit on the YourSource Planning Materials page (www.Scouting.org/100years). It includes promotional materials to engage alumni both on- and offline. They range from Internet banner ads and icons you can place on your website to more traditional promotions like posters, business cards, PowerPoint presentations, window clings, and more.
