  • 2018 Class of Silver Beaver and Venturing Leadership Award has been Selected

    The Jayhawk Area Council Awards Committee has selected three outstanding Scouters to be awarded its highest volunteer recognition, the Silver Beaver Award. They have selected two outstanding Venturing Leaders for the Venturing Leadership Awards. Please join us in congratulating them for their accomplishment.
  • 2019 Annual Wood Badge Dinner

    All Scouts and Scouters are welcome and encouraged to attend the Annual Wood Badge Dinner. This is a great time to celebrate Wood Badge course memories and share scouting stories. Many past course participants use this event as a Gilwell reunion for their patrols. Don’t forget to bring your critters!!

    Mush you doggies – mush! Are you ready for an extreme adventure? Polish up your cold-weather Scout Skills and show us your stuff. The 2019 Klondike Derby is closer than you think! The Klondike is an outdoor event held in cold weather (and sometimes snow) that brings together hundreds of Scouts and volunteers.

  • 2019 Cub Scout Resident Camps

    Save the date(s) for this summer’s Jayhawk Area Council’s “Cub Scout Resident Camps” and “Fun with Family Cub Scout Camps” at Falley Scout Reservation. This summer there will be three 3-day-2-night Resident camps (2 Cub Scout sessions and 1 Webelos Scout session) and two 2-day-1-night “Fun with Family” Cub Scout weekend camps.
  • BALOO and OLS Training - Mar 30-31, 2019

    Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) has recently been revised and is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (OLS) - This is an overnight course for all Scouts BSA & Venture Leaders that provides instruction and practice in the outdoor skills that are important in Scouting.
