Erik Karre

Biography

Erik began his Scouting career in the Overland Trails Council as a District Executive for the Overland Trails Council in 2003 in the Covered Wagon District. In 2006 he was promoted to Senior District Executive. Then in 2015 was promoted to District Director for the Jayhawk Area Council in Topeka, KS serving the Shawnee District.

Erik is an Eagle Scout, a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, and is Wood Badge Trained (Bob White).

Outside of Scouting he is very involved at church serving as a lector, an extrodinary minister, and in the church choir. serves as a lector at church. He serves as the Deputy Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus at Christ the King Church. He is an Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5710.

He was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, but grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and has lived in Nebraska all of his life before moving to Kansas. He is a big Nebraska Husker fan, loves hockey, especially his hometown Tri-City Storm. He loves to cook, especially for other people.

Family

Erik has two nephews, Jacoby Olson, Macon Van Amburg, and a niece Rainna Van Amburg. His parents are Tom and LaDonna Karre.
