See what you missed at the September District Service Meeting!

Did you miss our Sunflower District Service Meeting last week? Here is what you missed!

Youth Protection Training was provided for new parents and volunteers. A breakout about leader recruitment and succession planning provided a great group discussion.

Thanks to everyone who came out to share your ideas, your questions, and your enthusiasm for Scouting!

Key Takeaways from the District Service Meeting:

Youth Protection Training (YPT)

Leader Recruitment and Succession Planning

  • Utilize the Pack Family Talent or Troop Resource surveys to identify new leaders.
  • Good succession planning ensures that the Unit doesn't fail simply because someone moves or retires.
  • Succession planning is ongoing. It needs to be continuously worked and reviewed.
  • Checkout the presentation slides on our Sunflower District Volunteer Facebook GroupExternal Link.

Congratulations to Tonya Wahl (Troop/Pack 81) for earning her Scouter's Key Award for Cub Scouting that was presented at this meeting.
