Topeka region Catholic Religious Emblems classes forming now!

Courses for Scouts to earn the Ad Altare Dei religious award and the Pope Pius XII religious emblem are now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 season!

AD ALTARE DEI: The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is offering Scouts BSA or Venturing Scouts from the Topeka region (ages 13 – 18 and grade 7 or higher) the Ad Altare Dei religious award classes again this year.  The Ad Altare Dei program offers Catholic Scouts the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith through study of the Sacraments.  Classes begin in September.  Please contact John Spain at 785-379-5359 for registration information.  Applications for class participation are due no later than September 3, 2019.

POPE PIUS XII: John Spain, Jayhawk Area Council Regional Vice-Chairman ACCS and a member of St. Matthew's Parish, is assembling a group of Catholic Scouts from the Topeka region interested in earning the Pope Pius XII religious emblem. This program is designed for older Scouts (Scouts BSA or Venturing Scouts) typically in grades 9 to 12. It explores the roles that Scouts prepare for as they discern their lifetime vocation. Classes will begin in late September.  Please contact John Spain at 785-379-5359 for registration information.  Applications for participation in this group are due no later than September 3, 2019.
