New Sojadi District Executive Hired

Wayne Pancoast is pleased to announce the addition of Annabel Maskovich to the Jayhawk Area Council Staff.

Annabel will join us on September 3rd as the District Executive for the Sojadi District.  Although she was born in Fresno, California, she grew up in many different places including six different U.S. states and five different countries. Annabel’s first contact with the Boy Scouts occurred when she was 12 years old. At that time during the summer, she helped her grandmother who was the Cub Scout Day Camp Director by volunteering to work at the snack bar. She has an uncle that works for the Coronado Area Council in Salina, Kansas.

Prior to her employment with the Boy Scouts of America, she worked as an airline ticket and gate agent for Aeromexico and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish from the University of California Davis. She is fluent in Spanish.  Annabel also served an eighteen-month mission service in Perú for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She believes that success in life comes from learning the lessons from the challenges that we face and use those skills to expand as a person and help others in society.

Outside of work, her hobbies include running long distances, preferably in cold weather, travelling to the Arctic Circle to see the northern lights, and playing with her cat Barbie. She loves cold weather and rainy days. Annabel is the oldest of four siblings. Her parents currently reside in Laos, her sister studies in Australia, and her two brothers currently reside in Fresno, California.

Please welcome Annabel to our staff.
