New COVID-19 Procedures for Visitors at Falley Scout Reservation

Anyone coming out to camp to either visit, help with a work project, prepare for an upcoming event or just to see what is going on, MUST check in at with either the Campmaster (if on a weekend) or the Camp Ranger, Chad Kennedy (if during the week).  You will need to be temperature checked and complete a waiver before proceeding past the camp office located in the Dr. William C. Menninger Family Welcome Center.  Any unit or group wanting to come to Falley Scout Reservation to camp out or conduct a day activity MUST complete a reservation form and submit that form to the Jayhawk Area Council no later than Tuesday prior to arrival.  We are limited to the number of people we can have on property at any time so advanced notice is appreciated so we can ensure we can accommodate your needs.

During this COVID-19 Pandemic, we have instituted a number of safety protocols to ensure our Scouting family can experience a fun experience.  This began with summer camp.  Due to our relationship with the Jefferson County Emergency Management and Health departments, we are pleased to state that we had ZERO cases during camp!  This was in no small part, a credit to our Scouts and Scouters that followed the protocols we had put in place.

As we begin another very busy fall camping season, we want to continue to adhere to the safety protocols and ensure more weekends without any cases of COVID-19.  Our campmasters have a list of procedures they follow when checking in a unit or event into camp.  So far, during August, we have been able to successfully operate camp for over 150 participants without any issues.

It takes everyone to be diligent in following our procedures.  We are pleased to be able to operate our camp and provide this resource for our Scouting families.

For a list of forms needed and more information on using Falley Scout Reservation for your unit or group activities go to the Outdoor Programs page on our website.
