Long-time Scouter Loses House in Fire

Cliff Funk and his wife Diane lost their house to a fire over the weekend.  Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt, but the damage was a total loss.  Brian Hurla, a former Troop 30 parent, has helped the troop set up a GoFundMe account (link below) to help Cliff and Diane get through this time.

Cliff Funk has been a long-time leader with Troop 30 in north Topeka and has helped on numerous council committees, most notably Shooting Sports.  He is a Silver Beaver recipient and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He has worked with countless Scouts in the troop as they worked through their ranks to become Eagle Scouts.

Please keep Cliff and Diane in your thoughts and prayers as they work through this personal tragedy.
