Scout Night with the Topeka Pilots

Scout Night with the Topeka Pilots

Saturday, December 14, 1:00pm

Order Forms must be in by November 15th to the Jayhawk Area Council

The Topeka Pilots are excited to work with the Boy Scouts again this season for Scout Night on December 14, 2019. This year it’s more than just a hockey game to attend. The Pilots are making this an experience the Scouts don’t want to miss by including multiple afternoon activities with Pilots staff, ice skating with Pilots players and attending the night’s game.

Afternoon activities for Scouts registered for the event will begin at 1:00 pm in Landon Arena at the Stormont Vail Events Center with 30 minute stations including: first aide with Pilots Athletic Trainer Brianna Medina-Arnold and an EMT, learn Pilots cheers with mascot Ace, a locker room tour with Head Coach and General Manger Simon Watson, and floor hockey with Pilots staff. Following stations, at 3:30 pm Scouts will have the option to ice skate with Pilots players for an hour before dinner is served at 5:00 pm. Doors open for the game at 6:05 pm and the puck drops to begin the game at 7:05 pm.

In conjunction with Scout Night on December 14, the Pilots will also be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to throw on the ice after the Pilots score their first goal of the game! These stuffed animals will be donated to local children in need during the holiday season. December 14th is $2 soda and $2 popcorn night!

Scout tickets for afternoon activities, dinner, a patch, and attending the hockey game are $18. It will be an additional $7 for Scouts to participate in ice skating with Pilots players. Any additional game tickets that are purchased through the Jayhawk Area Council are $10 each.

Anyone interested in purchasing tickets for your scout or troop can call Katie Dalton with the Jayhawk Area Council office at or 785-276-3349.

If you would like more information about this event please contact Keli Lee at or 785-266-PUCK (7825).
