Cub Scout Adventure Day 2021

 

What is Cub Adventure Day??

Cub Adventure Day is a day of fun with your Cub Scout friends and family. Cub Adventure Day gives you an opportunity to participate in some of our most popular activities at camp. This is a great event to bring a friend who might be interested in seeing what Scouting is all about.

Location:

Falley Scout Reservation

(8602 Kingman Road, Oskaloosa, KS 66066). 

Just 30 minutes from downtown Topeka.

Cost:

FREE for All *NEW* Cub Scouts (Kindergarten-Fifth Grade boys & Girls) who have been registered since June 1, 2021. 

$8 for all other attendees (parents, siblings, friend, etc.)

Fee covers lunch, program supplies, and insurance

 

Walk-in are allowed. However, please understand it might change when it gets closer as we monitor COVID. 

 

Schedule

check-in begins at 7:30 AM  

opening ceremony 8:15 AM (at parade grounds)

activities are from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

lunch  11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (at Chandler on Camp Delaware side)

activities are from 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM

closing ceremony 4:15 PM (at parade grounds)

departure starts after closing ceremony

*NOTE*: (at this time), You are welcome to come and go as you please from 7:30-4:15 pm. EVERYONE MUST check-in when you arrive at the Camp Office. However, please understand it might change when it gets closer as we monitor COVID.

 

Night Experience (additional fee)

*NEW* this year, we are offering an additional night time experience. Those that attend the day events are eligible for this additional experience. 

Cost:

This is an extra $25 per family!

 

Saturday Evening Schedule

Set up campsite 4:00 - 6:00 PM

Dinner 5:30 PM (Mabee Dining Hall)

Evening events 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (parade grounds)

Lights out: 10:00 PM

 

Sunday Morning Schedule

Flag ceremony 8:00 AM

Breakfast 8:15 AM - 10:00 AM

Check-out 11:00 AM

*NOTE* registration for this additional experience will close 1 week before the event (September 18th). This is to allow enough time to get campsites prepared and blocked off. In order to camp for this night, you must pay and register online by family. 

 

At check-in please provide the following documents: 

#1. Waiver Consent form (one sheet per attendee)

#2. BSA health form This is not a 72 hour event; therefore Part C is not required but is encouraged

  • Your health form is to stay with you while you participate but you will be asked to verify you have it.

Also at check-in each attendee will be provided a colored wrist band. This will identify which time you are schedule for Shooting Sports. You will receive that wrist band after your temperature has been taken. 

Our staff will be taking the extra precautions measures cleaning highly touched surface areas, including equipment frequently handled by multiple participants.

What do I need to bring??
  • BSA Health Form, Parts A,B1,B2 & one per person (click here)
  • Jayhawk Area Council COVID Waiver, one per person (click here)
  • Shooting Sports Waiver (click here)
  • Camping Gear (only for those who registered for the camping experience)
  • Water Bottle (stay hydrated)
  • Energy to have FUN!!!
