Project C.O.P.E.

Project C.O.P.E. (Challenging, Outdoor, Personal, Experience) is a one or two-day course which takes place at Falley Scout Reservation, near Ozawkie, Kansas. This program provides a vehicle for groups to challenge themselves to reach personal and team goals. Project C.O.P.E. is designed to break down barriers between individuals and create an atmosphere of shared leadership and problems. Project C.O.P.E. comprises a series of outdoor challenges, beginning with basic group initiative games and progressing to more complicated low-course and high-course activities. Participants climb, swing, balance, jump, and rappel as well as think through solutions to a variety of challenges.

What does Project C.O.P.E. offer?

  • The creation of a decision making process by encouraging the group to perform where there is uncertainty of results.
  • An enlightening and satisfying opportunity to prove to the group that a seemingly insurmountable task or problem can be overcome.
  • An environment of safety, mutual support, and encouragement!
  • Leadership, Problem solving, Communication, Self-esteem, Trust, Decision making and Teamwork

Who can participate?

Project C.O.P.E. is designed for groups ranging from 10-36 people interested in developing self confidence and team work in a group setting. The Project C.O.P.E. course is designed to adapt to each groups’ specific needs and interests. The Projects C.O.P.E. course serves businesses and corporations as well as groups from schools, churches and civic organizations. All youth participants must be age 13 by January 1st.

Project C.O.P.E. is designed to fit your schedule. Weekday or weekend courses are available. The course is operated from March 15 to Memorial Day and again from August 15 through October 15.

Corporate C.O.P.E.

Corporate C.O.P.E. is designed for groups ranging from 10-36 people interested in developing self confidence and team work in a group setting. The Corporate C.O.P.E. course is designed to adapt to each groups’ specific needs and interests. The CorporatesC.O.P.E. course serves businesses and corporations as well as groups from schools, churches and civic organizations.

Corporate C.O.P.E. is designed to fit your schedule. Weekday or weekend courses are available. The course is operated from March 15 to Memorial Day and again from August 15 through October 15.

The staff for Corporate C.O.P.E. are volunteers who are nationally trained by the Boy Scouts of America with more than 60 years of experience. All of the staff currently serve on national training staffs for Corporate C.O.P.E.

Corporate C.O.P.E. Facilities

Falley Scout Reservation is located near Ozawkie, Kansas and provides housing and dining facilities.  Housing may not be climate controlled nor are bedding, toiletries, etc. provided.

Food is provided according to the specification of the customer. The menu will be based upon health and location concerns. For instance, if we are outdoors it may not be possible to return to the dining hall for the meal and the meal may be served picnic style.

In addition Corporate C.O.P.E. during a multi-day program may include the climbing platforms as well as on the ground structures utilized in the training.
